The Dr. Robert Spencer internship program in strategic studies is designed to give eligible candidates first-hand experience working in a nonpartisan research think-tank.
As an Intern, you will contribute to the Policy Insights Forum (PIF) and participate in the activities of the organization. You will work on various projects, conduct policy research across multiple industries and subjects, help organize policy events and prepare insightful articles and other publications on strategic policy issues.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for research, a deep interest in learning more about various subjects including government, politics, defence, security, technology and the economy; excellent communication skills; and skill in evaluating data sources and gathering, synthesizing, and packaging research into accurate and timely output.

Dr. Robert Spencer was educated at McGill University, Trinity College in the University of Toronto, and Oxford University. As a Professor Emeritus and Honorary Fellow of Trinity College of the University of Toronto, and a respected teacher and mentor to generations of students, many of whom had their own distinguished careers in the Foreign Service, academia, and the broader Canadian society.
He is a distinguished Canadian who spent his career defending Canada and Canadian interests on the European stage. Having been at the creation of NATO, he remains a staunch supporter of the Transatlantic relationship.
