Speaking at the Opening Reception of the Maritime & Arctic Security & Safety (MASS) Conference today in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Policy Insights Forum (PIF) NPSE Industry Liaison, The Hon. Jamie Baillie, and NPSE Chef de mission Vice-Admiral (Ret’d) Mark Norman announced the start of registration for the NATO – Private Sector Engagement Mission (NPSE) 2027. The NPSE 2027 will be taking place from April 11 to April 14, 2027, in Belgium and Luxembourg.

“The NPSE is a great way for Canadian defence and security companies to engage directly with senior NATO officials. Over the past 5 years, NPSE has put Canadian industry on the map as key suppliers to our NATO partners.” said Jamie Baillie.
“The world is changing rapidly, and Canada is stepping up its to meet the challenge. NPSE enables Canadian businesses of all sizes to do their part as key suppliers to the NATO alliance.” said VAdm Norman.

Now in its 6th year, the NPSE is an annual event that introduces Canadian defence and dual-use technology companies with senior NATO officials at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels and the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) in Luxembourg. In addition, the NPSE agenda also includes senior introductory meetings with European Union and Belgian officials and industry in Brussels, as well as Luxembourg officials and industry.

Goran Samuel Pesic, PIF Chair, added “Since we started back in 2022, the NPSE has introduced 50 Canadian companies to our NATO alliance partners, resulting in increased business and trade between NATO countries and Canadian business. I am very pleased that we are launching our NPSE 2027 at MASS this year.”

The Policy Insights Forum thanks the Atlantic Canada Aerospace and Defence Association (ACADA) for organizing the MASS 2026 conference and for enabling the PIF to launch NPSE 2027 from the St. John’s Convention Centre.
