The aim of the annual NATO-Private Sector Engagement (NPSE) is to bring together Industry leaders (at the CEO-level/C-Suite) and NATO senior-level representatives to discuss Public-Private Sector collaboration and emerging defence opportunities.
The NPSE 2023 is supported by the Office of the Deputy Secretary General and is organized by the Policy Insights Forum in partnership with Samuel Group to allow Industry executives unique access and timely information about NATO and its opportunities.
Canada and its Allies face significant pressures to increase defence spending and align it with NATO priorities. To meet this need, significant new investments in innovative technologies at the NATO and at the Member-country-level will be required, as demonstrated by the DIANA Initiative and the Climate Change and Security Center of Excellence.
The NPSE will enable senior defence and security industry executives interact with senior NATO officials on global strategic needs and priorities.
· Day 1: Setting the Geopolitical Strategic Context - “NATO Today, Threat Environment, and Geopolitical Challenges”
· Day 2: Staying Relevant and Competitive through R&D, Innovation, and Agile Procurement
· Day 3: Intensifying NATO Industrial and Technological Cooperation with Canada
The NPSE 2023 took place over three days, from Tuesday, February 21 to Friday, February 24.
The in-person NPSE 2023 was held at NATO Headquarters at Avenue Leopold III, 1110 Brussel, Belgium.
The NPSE was designed to feature 18 Senior NATO and Canadian Officials.
The NPSE initiative organized by the Policy Insights Forum facilitated discussions between a wide range of medium-to-large companies in the defence sector. It showcased interest in a spectrum of collaboration areas with NATO, including critical domains such as Digital Transformation, Maritime Security, Submarines, Satellites, Cloud Technologies, Secure Communications, and Cybersecurity, among others.
